House Warming

We had a little shin-ding at our house yesterday...which of course means plenty of yummy food! And we had perfect weather and lots of great sunlight...which of course means great photos.

The presentable plate of Hummus.

A naked Chopped Mexican Salad.

Shaved Fennel and Orange Salad.

Devils. Little squares of devilish, heavenly goodness. Apple Cinnamon Squares with Cream Cheese Frosting. There will be a recipe later!

You know me - I'm one who's rare to cook or bake - I'm more a 're-heater'.. however you MUST MUST MUST post that recipe for the Squares. They were delish! I liked them so much I might have to give them their own food group so I can feel healthy and eat them often!

What a lovely par-tay! I second Kara's endorsement of the squares... and they must be a health food somehow, right? Cinnamon is good for you...?

Have you posted the trifle recipe before? That had me thinking really strange thoughts of diving into the bowl and licking it clean...!

Yep, the trifle is in the recipe archives.

Well, those bars do have apples in them, so they are good for you. And the cream cheese icing has dairy...that's good for you.

Yes, the bars were divine. The trifle was wonderful. I did try the hummus and it was good, though I did not sniff it. The chicken was good as well. I hope that it was all worth the effort for you. We had a good time.

So sorry we missed it!

I'm having the hummus right now for lunch, and I think it might possibly taste even better after having been refrigerated for a day.

What a lovely party it was, thank you you from the whole B family! The food, of course, was fabu - I forgot how much I like that chopped salad. Yum.

Hey, why no picture of the banana trifle? That was DIVINE. I told my mom about it, and she wants the recipe!

The party was fab, the food was fab, and the hosts were and are always fab. Thanks for a great shindig!
