Seasonal Ice Cream

Heaven.
I'm in Heaven!
And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak.
And I seem to find the happiness I seek,
When we're out together dancing cheek to cheek.

OK, so I didn't really dance with my ice cream, but I want to...

Spiced Pumpkin Ice Cream!

1/3 cup sugar
1 cup 1/2 & 1/2
1 cup milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2-3/4 cup pumpkin puree
2 tsp pumpkin pie spices
1 tsp vanilla extract

Blend together and freeze in your ice cream maker. Enjoy. It's pumpkin pie in ice cream form and I'm in love.

Oh my God. You dirty, dirty man. I want to lick my screen!

When I was in IN last month at this cute little artsy town, my Mom took me to a little ice cream shop, and we both got giant scoops of their homemade pumpkin ice cream. I almost wept. It was the single best thing I've tasted in years!

I know the picture looks a bit like grits, but believe me, it tastes gooood.

As soft serve, this was great! After sitting in the deep freeze for a day, it was rock hard. So, I need to add more cream or sugar. I think the pumpkin brought extra water to the party, causing the ice cream to freeze up to much.

Still TASTY!
