Post-Bliss

Thanksgiving was great, if I do say so myself. The turkey was tasty and perfect. We documented the full dinner, so we'll be seeing photos later. The overwhelming hit of the night were my sweet potatoes.

I'll get the recipe for that and what I did to the turkey in a few days. I'm tired and stuffed. We're leaving in a few short hours for the great bustling metropolis in the north, Edgewater, NJ

Much love to all and come back in few days (Sunday?).

Thank you for the best T'giving meal I've ever had! And, of course, for the entertaiment of the evening. :-)

I'm posting a few photos but I'll leave the lovely bird and most detailed food photos for you...check for a Snapfish email later.

Enjoy New York - I hope you get to see some shows!

Love ya,
Stef

2nd place went to the drunken cranberries (which was my fave this year).

An honorable mention went to the collard greens, which were the best I've ever made (if I do say so myself, and I do).

It was an amazing meal!

Scotte, I remain awed by you. How many sticks of butter do you think went into the entire dinner?

I told you I'd report about the cornbread-and-andouille stuffing. I really *wanted* to love it, but it just did nothing for me. Everybody else finished their servings, but I don't think many went for seconds. I am a huge cornbread fan, so I may try another version, but I wouldn't recommend trying this particular recipe. (Email me if you like and I'll give you the precise recipe to avoid).

Congrats on what sounds like an awesome dinner!

Oh, yes, those collard greens were fantastic! I've only ever had them in my college dining hall before and thought I'd sworn off them for life. But now I've seen the error of my ways!
