Do You Have Some Feedback?

Dearest readers! It has been 105 days since I formally started the Eat With Me sabbatical and it's been great. To not have to worry about blogging and taking pictures and trying to be creative. Thank you for allowing me the time.

That being said, I'm starting to get itchy. Ideas are starting to ruminate and simmer. But before I return fully, I want to explore the option of re-imagining Eat With Me. If you can take a few minutes and provide some feedback, that will help me decide the direction to move in.

In particular, I'm interested in your thoughts on:

Layout & design of the site
Content-more or less of something specific
Other feedback-open ended, is there something you would love to see?

I'll continue mapping things in my head, to try to identify what I want to do. I look forward to your feedback in assisting with the direction I take Eat With Me. Thanks!

Incorporate video of yourself cooking! Or if you can find a way to make the aroma from your kitchen come through the internet, that'd be splendid. Glad to see you're coming back...

Here's a thought which you can take or leave...numerous times I've thought, "ohhhh...I'd love to make that!" about a dish you've posted about. But, I'm a fairly novice cook and really rely on recipes. So, I'd be grateful for slightly more percision or explanation in the amazing things you just throw together. (But, I realize that maybe your other readers are better able to keep up with the throwing-it-together concept!)

I agree with Zender. Video would be great to see. Maybe ratings of level of difficulty or time to prep? I would love to see posts about spices and how you use them/what foods they go with. If you could also explain some things that might give novice cooks like me pause, such as what exactly IS a dry white wine to use in recipes, or when you say rough chop, what does that mean? You are so good at explaining things to me when I'm watching you work, it might help other people to hear it in common language, too.

I also loved the old school experience where you would post a recipe you were going to try one night ahead of time and then we'd have a 'virtual' dinner and everyone could try it out on the same night. I know it didn't always work out, but I do like virtually eating and cooking with you!

Video or going out to eat on a set budget in DC, like how far one could get with $25 on the town, or with only online coupons. I've started my own food blog at HungryinDC.com and am looking for ways to grow too!

Agree with Kara!! And also prep/cook times on things, so we know what we're getting ourselves into when we embark on one of your wonderful recipes. :)

Oh, and an update on FB when you post, but that's my own selfish want, because I don't know how to use RSS feeders and stuff like that to tell me when a new post has been posted. But I do go on FB every day. :P
