Icy Conditions
We are still waiting for a fridge. Last week one was ordered. Supposed to be delivered yesterday, Thursday. We got a call. It's damaged, someone will call you later. Manager called later: it's cosmetic, on the back of the fridge. We'll take it. Delivery rescheduled for today. Call received again this morning. Nope, it's not cosmetic, the engine is damaged. Two weeks after the fridge died...we're back to square one with no fridge! More shopping tonight...crap.

I have a recommendation. Best Buy. I just redid the kitchen in my condo. I bought it last year and the Kitchen was original to the early 80s when they were built. There was one drawer. It was 11 inches wide - that's the face, not the actual drawer. Anyway I did not get all new appliances because most were only about 3 years old. The fridge however was not. It was decrepit. I personally purchased my fridge from the Best Buy on Rockville Pike because I live in MD, but they had some great deals. Lots of clearance items - some were on clearance and there was only the floor model left, others were clearance with new in the box items. Plus their salespeople don't work on comission. My boyfriend actually talked them down $250 off the clearance price on the fridge i got. I also got a matching hood microwave on clearance as well. :-)
I dragged my boyfriend to oh about 15 different places looking at fridges and Best buy had better deals. Home Depot and Lowe's had better deals on GE though - if you're looking for that particular brand.
Thanks for the feedback. We're heading to Best Buy and Sears tonight to see what they have.
The new fridge has been ordered (thanks best buy) and is scheduled to arrive tomorrow-Monday!
I'm glad they were able to help you out. You know I was really suprised because I don't usually think of Best buy when I think of appliances, but honestly, they were the cheapest on delivery, and had some of the best prices. I'm glad you found something.
