I *heart* Cool Whip, but my boss and I happened to be looking at a Cool Whip container yesterday (she brought her leftovers in it for lunch) and were shocked to see that it contains almost no dairy product whatsoever. A little scary, but I guess that's why they call it "Whipped Topping." Alas, I'll still use it....
Once I figured out how easy it is to make real whip cream, I stopped buying cool whip forever (though I will confess to occasionally getting a can of redi-whip for fun). ;-)
