No sooner do we get everything up and running and my computer completely, utterly and all together died! There was some message--beginning memory dump. And now...there is nothing. NADA. Our own personal Geek on Call is coming today to help get new locks on the doors and he will be asked to review the former Eat With Me laptop...pray! Pray Hard that something can be fixed...otherwise we have three years of photo archives (foodie and friends and travel) all down the drain!
The only good news and of course enough to make me panic...I'm on the backup computer--where my iTunes lives...please God don't let this computer die...I can almost deal with all my pictures gone...but my music! NEVER!
Stay tuned for updates when we can...hopefully when thing are reviewed, we can AT LEAST start fresh with the computer...we just bought a house...can't really afford a brand new computer.

Yikes! I hope your Geek on Call (Lord B?) gets it all fixed! I just bought an external hard drive for that same purpose. If you need to get one, they're pretty cheap. Mine was on sale for 75 bucks at Best Buy, and it holds 160 GB. Good luck!
it's shot! the hard drive is dead...and took the whole thing with it...Mr. Geek (lord b.) has some ideas, so we might get away with fixing it for a few $$$ instead of a whole new shebang! Wish us luck.
