I just wanted to tell you I had lunch at Elephant and Castle today and I really liked it. I had the Shepard's Pie - very savory, not at all bland (I think Shepard's Pie can be bland when not made well). My dining companion had the Yorkshire pudding with beef and green beans and he liked his pretty well. I like my meal VERY much. And I looked at the beer list - lots of great imports on draught (that I couldn't partake of, but I was scouting for future reference). I think I liked the interior/decor the most - good general atmosphere, good waiter, and some manager-type stopped by the table to see if everything is OK. I like that.
Ohhh, I love Saveur. I also get Cooking Light and one called Cuisine at Home.
Squeeee! I'm so excited to get home to my Saveur. That luscious cover photo has me drooling.
