Last night I threw together some
sloppy joe's using some locally raised ground beef we purchased at the
Cheverly Community Market. They are easy, tasty, filling and make me want to sing!

Ground beef, onions, green peppers.

Herbs & Spices

Tomato paste

Water, Cider vinegar and a splash of Worchestshire suace. Simmer until just sloppy. It didn't even cross my mind, but next time I might try some broth instead of water to add another layer of flavor.

My Mom was a Lunch Lady. She got that sung to her for years. She kind of misses it.
The Sloppy Joe is a classic because it's easy to make and yet satisfies. Yum!
I have been inspired and made sloppy joes last night. That may be the first time I have eaten it in nearly a decade Umm.. I forgot how good it can be. I followed your recipe as far as I could, but I need a little more details, like what kind of spices you added... I am not that adventurous to just throw any spice in. Love your blog, it gives us ideas we wouldnt necessarily think of.
Dawn, thanks for trying the recipe. I'm happy it turned out for you. At the top of the post is the link for my original post with the recipe. I've copied it here...that's one problem I have with this blogger template...the link colors don't show very well...
