Bryce: It looks like Udupi and Tiffin are owned by the same people and nearly next door to one another! YUM!

Oh boy we might have to make Indian our dinner another night soon!

Welcome Golden Silence! Hope you enjoyed your visit.

Wow, what a spread! We recently revisited Bombay Curry Company after several years of discovering other yummy places. Boy, what were we thinking?! If you haven't tried this place, you should.

We ate LIKE animals but did not eat ANY animals - b/c Udpipi is vegetarian. And SO filling. We didn't even discuss the dessert - what was that called again?

I would not recommend the Iddly - it was fine, but I wouldn't order it again. Ditto for the Rice Crepe with stuff in it - all too mild for me. Thank goodness ya'll shared all your yummy curries with me!!!!!!!

Don't you love birthday dinners where you stuff you face guilt free? Also, I thought you were a picky eater? Doesn't look like it here...

Jon: This is the restaurant I mentioned in my picky eater post...I went, cautiously, tried and LOVED!

So tell me...if we make it to Chicago for New Year's Eve...what should we not miss? It's in the early planning phase, but we're planning a little road trip...thoughts?

There's a lot you shouldn't miss in Chicago if you come. Certainly, if you've never visited before, you must do some of the touristy stuff. Drinks on the top of the Hancock Building -- nothing special drink wise, and a bit expensive, but a truly amazing view that makes it worth it. Italian beef combo at Jonny's in Elmwood Park, with homemade lemon ice. Millenium Park -- if only to see the Bean, which is one of the coolest things around. And if you aren't too tied down with plans, certainly dinner out with my wife and me. BTW, I'm planning a business trip into D.C. sometime in Novemeber, early December, and I'd love to meet up for dinner and drinks somewhere. I should be in town for a good seven or eight days.
